Due to the uncertainty of boat capacity at Saturday noon, I went out quite early to visit Tai O, the streets at 10.30 were very quiet and empty, primarily occupied by individuals preparing for their daily tasks, mostly delivery of fresh produce to prepare for the crowds of visitors in the afternoon.
During my stroll, I encountered a gentleman carrying buckets of freshly caught fish.
This fishmonger was cleaning his knife and chopping board with a water hose.
At one of the ports, I spotted some fishermen trading freshly caught crabs with local dealers.
